Job Description
The Compliance QC Specialist will be responsible for reviewing each Suspicious Activity Report prepared by an AML investigator for accuracy, filing approved SARs with FinCEN, and providing feedback to investigators regarding reviewed SARs. Additionally, the QC Specialist will be responsible for reviewing a sample of all EDD reviews, customer termination narratives, and AML alerts to confirm accuracy and adherence with DigitalMint Compliance Policies and Procedures. This job will be located in Chicago, IL.
What You’ll Do
- Review all Suspicious Activity Reports and supporting documentation for accuracy, returning feedback to AML investigators when inaccuracies are discovered
- Review all Currency Transaction Reports for accuracy, returning feedback to compliance employees when inaccuracies are discovered
- Filing all SARs and CTRs prepared by compliance employees in a timely manner
- Review a sample of all Enhanced Due Diligence reports conducted by an EDD Analyst for accuracy and risk tolerance, providing feedback to analysts when warranted
- Review a sample of all worked AML automated alerts for accuracy and risk tolerance
- Assist with the creation of key metrics to allow for better insight into department trends and bandwidth issues
- Assist with the creation of a QC scoring system for all work products created by the compliance department
- Report to DigitalMint’s BSA Officer on any trends regarding QC findings, suspicious activity
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience working SAR filing investigations
- 1+ years of experience working AML surveillance alerts, High risk customer reviews, or CTRs
- Experience providing feedback based on findings
- Attention to detail
- Writing proficiency
- Preferred: CAMS certified, experience with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency investigations, experience with FinCEN’s BSA Filing website
